What a great Sunday! Guests continue to come, new attenders are settling in, and we had a sweet, sweet time of worship.
I want to say thank you to all those who give of their time, talents, and treasures. As we spoke about this past week, humble service through the body of Christ, the local church, is how we work out our salvation. So many of you faithfully serve and give. We are hitting our second quarter goal of $7,000 each week as well!
At the same time, there is so much more God wants to do in and through us. God does not need our money, but He wants to bless us through it! If every youth and adult who has been attending served, we could start eKids in our 9:00 service to match our 10:43. We could expand our outreach efforts, and reach many other gospel goals! If each family or individual attender who are not currently giving began giving just $10 a week, we would hit our 3rd quarter giving goals in the 2nd quarter and begin supporting all of our staff and volunteer staff to reach even more people!
As we spoke about on Sunday, do nothing more than what God call's you to do. If you get ahead of God, you get in the way! Everyone, please prayerfully consider how you can use your time, talents, and treasures to further the forward of the gospel through Encounter Church. Let us know! Whether you are ready to start serving or are ready for a change, we want to help!
Family Day Weekend is almost here! Unite Student Night starts Friday @ 6:45. We are taking the gospel to the Emerald Trace neighborhood Saturday 7:00. Breakfast will be served on Sunday at 9:00 and 10:43 through 6 serving lines as we have a family service!
It will be capped off with a Family Day movie and a great time of fellowship Sunday night from 4:00-7:00. We will watch the movie Ferdinand. We ask that you register for the event. The $4 admission fee will support our eKids ministry. The Far Missions Team will be selling concessions to support the trip this summer. Bring a chair, blanket, air mattress, whatever you want to sit on as we watch the movie on our 4 big screens!
